I have such fond memories of visiting the Fish Quay over the years. Who doesn't love grabbing some fish and chips and watching the ships sail by (keeping an eye out for those naughty seagulls, of course!).
I remember my Granny taking me down here as a child, and we got the ferry across to South Shields Market. I genuinely thought South Shields was an island and was rather disappointed to discover I wasn't embarking on my first international adventure!
